His childhood, developed in a town of 60 inhabitants, motivates his photography from a nostalgic and costumbrist aspect. His interest in American culture and his time in Canada give him a cosmopolitan vision, which makes him a versatile Director of Photography, always putting photography at the service of the story.

David Mendizábal graduated from the Film Production Program at the InFocus Film School in Vancouver. After his stay in Canada, he continued his training at ECAM, where he graduated from the Master’s Degree in Cinematography.

Currently based in Madrid and Navarra, David has experience in various types of projects, from fiction and documentary, to advertising through fashion films, spots and music videos.
